This presentation will focus on the Agena iPLEX HS chemistry, which enables solid tumor profiling in lung, colon, melanoma, and brain samples. Dr. Demetrick will also discuss his ongoing work to enable liquid biopsy using the Agena UltraSEEK chemistry.

Dr. Douglas Demetrick obtained his Double Honors degrees in Microbiology and Biochemistry and his PhD in Immunochemistry at the University of British Columbia. He completed his medical education, internship and Anatomic Pathology residency at the University of Calgary. He was a visiting scientist at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and an adjunct research scientist at North Shore University Hospital/Cornell Medical School and then returned to the University of Calgary as a Canadian Institutes of Health Research Clinician Scientist to establish his research program.
A diplomate of the College of American Pathologists (Anatomic Pathology) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Anatomic Pathology), Dr. Demetrick is also is a basic cancer investigator at the Charbonneau Cancer Institute and Professor at the University of Calgary and member of four university Departments, including Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; Oncology; Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; and Medical Genetics.
