Chinese Language Webinar: Clinical Transformation and Application of DNA Methylation in Cancer Early Screening & Diagnosis

Please note: this webinar is presented entirely in Chinese language.

Presented By: Rongxi Yang Ph.D, Nanjing Medical University

DNA methylation is an epigenetic mechanism that modifies gene expression and affects gene function. Methylation changes can deactivate tumor suppressor genes or activate proto-oncogenes, impacting downstream pathways. Due to the relative stability and diversity of epigenetics, DNA methylation has attracted attention in both basic and translational research. In numerous studies, data from microarrays and next generation sequencing technologies have shown that methylation changes have the potential to be used for early diagnosis and therapeutic evaluation of cancer. An accurate, quantitative, highly efficient and cost effective method is urgently needed for validation of methylation changes across large numbers of samples. In this webinar, professor Rongxi Yang will discuss clinical applications of DNA methylation in cancer early screening and diagnosis with Agena’s MassARRAY technology.

Learning Objectives:

  • Significance of DNA methylation in cancer early screening and diagnosis
  • Advantages of Agena MALDI-TOF technology in DNA methylation detection
  • Clinical transformation and application of DNA methylation in early diagnosis of breast cancer
  • Clinical transformation and application of DNA methylation in early diagnosis of lung cancer and differentiation of benign and malignant pulmonary nodules
